Office work

Office Day – Friday is the designated office day, and the parish priest will be available in the parish office to assist with your needs.

Sudays – On Sundays you may visit the parish office briefly between the Holy masses for matters that require immediate attention.

Other Days of the week – It is advisable to visit parish office on appointments to avoid disappointment if the parish priest is busy with other arrangements.

Baptism of Children

Infants and Children are baptized on every first Saturday of the month at 10.00 am.

You can obtain an application form from the parish office or download it from the website.

Adult Baptism

Adults seeking baptism must first complete a three-month instructional process.

Contact the parish priest and he will assign you an instructor.

Once the instructor recommends the candidate, a date will be fixed for the baptism after a brief interview with the parish priest.

Communion to the sick

Holy Communion to the sick is given every last Wednesday of the month by a Rev. Sister to the parishioners of Pannipitiya and Maththegoda.

Communion to the sick parishioners of Rukmalgama will be given every last Thursday of the month.

Communion to the sick parishioners of Hokandara will be given every Sunday.

For anointing and confession for the sick you may contact the parish priest.

Confession

For confession you can visit the church whenever the parish priest is available, or you can make an appointment and come.

House visits

The parish priest is available to bless your house, business venture, or any other special occasions. Dedicated times for blessings are the morning hours of Wednesday and Thursday. Please ensure to make an appointment in advance.

Funerals

In the event of a funeral please contact the parish priest immediately.
